For women who are affectionate toward other women, I will briefly recap in the box below what the Scripture has to say about the subject:

And, true - while the Torah does forbid a very specific act (AnalSex) regarding MEN with MEN: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely die; their blood guilt is on themselves." (Lev 20:13); -& (Lev 18:22): "You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." -- the Torah itself says NOTHING about women laying with women. Did you read that? Torah itself says NOTHING whatsoever about women laying with women. And the very nature of Law forbids expanding ANY statute to cover matters not expressly named within the statute!
(which means that neither Lev 20:13 {above in Hebrew} nor Lev 22:18 can be expanded whatsoever, to accuse women "laying with woman"! There is NO APPLICABLE LAW in the Hebrew Torah)! And anyone who would try to expand those verses in the Torah to cover "women laying with woman" have committed a capital crime (Dt 19:16-20) - according to the Torah! The silence in this matter of "women laying with woman" actually speaks volumes. In law, the actual Latin term for this well settled principle is: "inclusio unius est exclusio alterius". The omission of a parallel commandment naming women is NOT a mistake. This is because the commandment is one that forbids a very specific act (AnalSex) and women are not named because women lack the anatomy to commit the forbidden act of AnalSex with other woman. This is why the phrase "AS he lays with a woman" "מִ שְׁ כְּ בֵ י" are in the commandments covered above from Leviticus. The specific interpretation comes from the Hebrew root כְּ "Kaf" (expanded: Kaf-Yod) pronounced "key" - which carries the meaning of "AS/LIKE". A man who lays with another man AS (in like fashion / penetration) a woman - describes the act of PENETRATION because THAT is what the phrase "lies with a woman" means in the legal sense within the Torah.
For those who think Paul covered the "lesbian-ground"
in the New Testament (Romans 1); -
Your theology sucketh. Paul himself (a
Hebrew lawyer) was very specific that he would NOT go beyond the letter of the
written Torah! "Brothers, I have applied all this to Apollos and myself for your
benefit, so that you may learn from us the reasons why not to go beyond what the Scriptures
say. Then you will stop boasting about one person at the expense of
another." -I Cor 4:6
Paul. If the Old Testament law didn't forbid a thing -
neither did Paul teach against it in the New. Duh!
So, when you get to Romans 1:27 where the Apostle-Paul (a Hebrew lawyer) pens
the same word (in Greek) translated as "LIKEWISE" - he is connecting
PRECISELY the nature of the violation
in what follows, - AS in what preceded. And that connection is connected to the
Torah by the very LETTER ( כְּ
). In other words, Paul uses the same terminology in the Greek
that matches the specific Hebrew prohibition: "Likewise". He literally welds the
connection together with the very letter that the Hebrew commandment rests the
full force of meaning upon (& sloppy translators still manage to mangle the
text)! Some Bibles LIE.
So, if the Torah (Old Testament Law) doesn't say anything about women laying with women -- then what is Paul talking about in Romans 1: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:" -v.26 ???

The answer is found in the next verse (27) when read in
CONTEXT with Leviticus 20:13 above ... "Likewise
( כְּ ) also the men,
leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another;
men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves
that recompense of their error" -Rom 1:27
Romans 1:26 isn't about lesbians. It's about women who have AnalSex with men. It's a position where they literally "put aside the natural function" which is how they "receive within themselves" - the penalty (which is death via disease). Women don't have the anatomy of give other women the "penalty within' -lacking penises (which is also why lesbians have the lowest rate of STD'd of any demographic)! If you don't see what is so clear here -- then proceed to the top of this document and read the FULL paragraph beneath the empty box again. And ironically - in this you've also learned the name-origin of the commercial sex-product "KY jelly" "Kaf-Yod"... (the manufacturer of which should heed closely the language of Romans 1:31-32).
Peter warned about people who would distort Paul's writings. "As also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction." - II Pet 3:16 ... Of course most people are astonished when they discover that it's lots of so-called "Christian scholars" doing the distortion of Paul's writings!
Paul (a lawyer) was meticulous and would not have called "sin' in the New Testament what was not in the old. However, the Old Testament (Torah) DOES FORBID contact with feces (which is what AnalSex brings the participants into). These points are repeated elsewhere on the G0YS.org website.
So, -if you're a woman who happens to love women -- then the only principle to bear in mind is that "Love works no ill" and if what you're doing isn't hurting anybody (lacking evidence of an injured party) then there is no mitzvot/commandment against it. If you've been called an "abomination" merely because you "like" women, then you've encountered an evil form of false Christian teaching that is quite contrary to the principles within the Scriptures and likely damns those doing the teaching do to the grievous nature of the sin of false-testimony that they commit in doing so. "...if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against a fellow Israelite, then do to the false witness as that witness intended to do to the other party. You must purge the evil from among you." -Dt 19:18-19
And aren't the principles of love generally self-evident
(common sense) anyhow? Take a deep breath of relief. God loves you and
wants you to prosper and be in health and He wants you to share that same
attitude with everyone else. Jesus paid the price so you could have a
fulfilled life (& share it with others)! Don't let liars from some
semetary, - eh ... seminary - slander your constitution &
rob you of a meaningful relationship with God or other people!
According to Galatians 3:28c, - In Christ, God doesn't even categorize people based on gender! True!

From 2009 Tulane speech beginning at video time index 3:51: "I was maybe 19 & my girlfriend at the time was killed in a car accident and I passed the accident and I didn't know it was her and I kept going. And shortly after that I found out it was her. And I was living in a basement apartment. I had no money. I had no heat; -no AC. I had a mattress on the floor and the apartment was infested with fleas. And I was soul-searching - I was like 'Why is she suddenly gone and there are fleas here? I don't understand. There must be a purpose and wouldn't it be so convenient if we could just pick up the phone and call God and ask these questions. And I started writing and what poured out of me was an imaginary conversation with God which was one sided. And I finished writing it and I looked at it and I said to myself (-& I hadn't even been doing stand-up ever. There was no club in town.) I said "I'm gonna do this on the Tonite show with Johnny Carson (-@ the time he was the 'King'). And I was going to be the 1st woman in the history of the show to be called over to sit down". And several years later I was the 1st woman in the history of the show & only woman in the history of the show to sit down because of that phone conversation with God that I wrote. And I started this path of stand-up & it was successful & it was great. But it was hard because I was trying to please everybody; -& I had this secret that I was keeping that I was gay - and I thought if people found out they wouldn't like me...'" Ellen may have no natural children; -But This speech is absolutely pregnant with Scriptural themes and principles! I suspect that some-where in Ellen's past - there is a child who heard the message of Yeshua (Jesus) and the love of God & said "Yes!" to that offer. And God, who does not take lightly the covenant formed with a child, - honors that until this very day & wishes with all good faith that the bond would grow even deeper! Don't let religious-liars rob you of God's peace, love & reconciliation! |
Ellen DeGeneres: God's "In your face!"
- I don't know much about Ellen. I've seen her TV programs only a few times. I don't know her political views and I'd probably not agree with her personally on a number of issues. Despite that - I HAVE seen something quite astonishing that is such a powerful testimony to the faithfulness of God that I'm going to go into some detail to explain it. This will undoubtedly piss off all the right people.
An excerpt from her 2009 Tulane commencement speech is transcribed to the left. Despite the fact Ellen has an ability to use humor to make her points; -The parts of this speech that caught my ear were not humorous - but consisted of an awesome personal account of tragedy and a very uncharacteristic response on her part to that tragedy. When Ellen was about 19, she drove past an accident that turned out to be a fatal involving her girlfriend. After learning the horrible facts, she says that the was doing soul-searching and in her humble, miserable circumstances & emotional pain - she wrote down -what she considered- an imaginary, one sided phone call to God. AND, despite the fact she wasn't even doing stand up comedy in her town, - she said in her heart that someday she would perform the imaginary phone-call-to-God on the Tonite show with Johnny Carson (despite the fact that at the time no woman had sat down with Carson for a dialog). And a few years later - she did that EXACT THING. And in her Speech at Tulane in 2009 - she said - matter of factly - "because of that phone conversation with God that I wrote." Does this bring any Scripture to mind? It is written:
The Scriptures also tell us some things about God's perceptions that most people may not realize. These aspects of His being are germane here. Ellen characterized the "call" she wrote down to be "imaginary". David wrote of God: "You perceive my thoughts from afar." -Ps 139:2 What Ellen "imagined" was not hidden to God. The fact that Ellen wrote those thoughts down on paper seems to be significant as well. After all - according to the Scripture, God is in the habit of putting His thoughts to paper: "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever brought about through human initiative, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." -2 Pet 1:20-21. And if God expects us to read what He has written (in all earnestness) - then it can be reasoned that He would extend the same respect: "For the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is fully attentive to Him." - 2 Chron 16:9 I would argue that a person who went thru the ordeal Ellen described -who takes the time to WRITE DOWN her thoughts regarding a conversation with God (rather than curse Him) -THAT person's heart is fully attentive on God! And then there's this attribute of God's person: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine..." - Eph 3:20 Another aspect of Ellen's testimony is that she referred to Jonny Carson as the proverbial "king"; - of late-night TV comedy, I presume. And to repeat: Her goal was to perform her act on his stage. It is written: "Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings;" - Pr 22:29 See, I suspect that Ellen, like many same-gender-attracted people, has been treated very very badly throughout her life and much of that mistreatment came/comes via people who even claim that their religious mantra comes from God. Well, as this website has gone into great detail to show - that mantra does NOT come from God but is akin to the very 1st LIE that Satan ever told - again putting words into God's mouth! And if you think that life-destroying lies don't p!ss God off -- then you're in for a very rude awakening someday. And I find it ironic (to the point of hilarity in the light of her detractors) that a same-gender-attracted woman who called out to God in a moment of horrible personal tragedy - would become lifted up and become one of the best know comediennes on the planet! God heard Ellen within her great pain & took her perspective very, very seriously; -Letting her name the very terms of her exoneration w. all the precise power of a prophet! And regarding her detractors: Repentance would be wise. Ellen's life and her struggle for truth, mirror over and over again the Scriptural themes of righteous people who moved forward in the face of extreme adversity and accomplished astonishing things. Read Hebrews 11. Those who condemn her for no reason other than unscriptural, personal biases are no different that the conspiring, murderous religious leaders who urged the crowd to reject Yeshua Himself! Ellen (& all other Ellens); -Has God NOT shown how much He loves you? |
